Health insurance is optional, so please read the Law regarding the issue, if interested:

     According to the amendment made in the seventh paragraph of Article 60 of Law No. 5510 with Law No. 6486, as of 29/5/2013;

     Within three months from the date of the first registration to their school, general health insurance holder registration procedures for all foreign students studying in our country, are carried out if they make a written request made to the provincial directorate of social security/ social security center.

     If the students who registered for the first time after 29/5/2013, within three months from the first registration date, apply with a request petition and a student certificate showing their first registration date of the school they are studying in to the provincial directorate of social security/ social security center present in the city where their schools are, as of the day following the date they make a written request, one-year general health insurance is provided. Foreign national students whose general health insurance registrations are done in this way, in accordance with Article 82 of the Law, must pay the general health premium calculated over the 30-day amount of one third of the lower limit of daily earnings as a basis for the premium.

     On the other hand, general health insurance of foreign students who are registered within the framework of the laws in force ends for the reasons specified in this Law.

     Foreign students who do not make a written request to our Institution to have general health insurance within three months from the date of their first registration to the schools where they will study, cannot have general health insurance registered again during their education.

     For this reason, it is announced to the public that foreign students who want to have general health insurance should apply with a written request to our Institution within three months from the date of their first registration at their school.
