The Mersin University Department of Student Affairs organized an Internal Stakeholder Meeting on March 25, 2026, to improve the processes of international students studying at our university and to strengthen internal coordination.

The meeting, held in the Department's conference hall, was moderated by our Head of Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem ACI, and our Branch Managers, Canan ŞİMŞEK and Hakan SABAH; representatives from relevant units and student representatives participated. Among the participants were:Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit İzgi ONBAŞILI (Coordinator) and Lec. Ayşe Banu AKDOĞAN from the International Relations and Projects Coordinatorship.Lec. Hakan AKGÖZ from the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TUAM).Nilgün GETİZMEN (Branch Manager) from the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports.Lec. Özge Gül ZEREY (Assistant Director) and Lec. Bengü SEZER from the School of Foreign Languages.International student representatives from various academic units.

During the meeting, activities aimed at increasing the university's international recognition and reciprocal agreements to be made with universities in target countries were discussed in detail; important topics regarding the academic and social lives of international students were evaluated. The meeting concluded after listening to the requests, wishes, and suggestions submitted by the students.
